what a difference a week makes. 8 days ago, we were on a secluded beach with a pool virtually to ourselves.  then we went to disney -- with, i don't know, 93,000 other people.  my post-pandemic self is not used to the crazy crowds anymore. i need a vacation after this vacation!

To beat the heat in the summer here in Vermont “rivering” is all the rage. All one needs is sunshine, good friends, an SPF, and some kind of refreshment to drink. Nothing like being out in nature with those you love and appreciating the beauty of Vermont all around you.

I put a orange ready to eat in the bed. My baby (snow) took it when I noticed. Snow maybe thought it is the good pillow.????

This photo makes me proud that I set aside time for myself and stuck with it. All it takes is one day.. then the rest will come.

My goal was to create a beautiful portrait, that perfectly matched my surroundings, which was a field of flowers next to the ocean in Santa Cruz, CA.

After laying in the sun I looked up to see this classic VW Kombi in the distance driving along the drive on beach at Sellicks. I quickly grabbed my camera and grabbed a couple snaps of this classic cruiser, much to the joy of the drivers who smiled and waved, and told us to have a great day. Legends!

"Exploration is curiosity put into action"

There are so many times I have found Emberly searching around the house for lost markers, only to find her with lovely drawings all over her face.
 

I realized she felt this need to explore so I grabbed an abandoned makeup palette and makeup brushes. We set up the vanity and I watched her as she explored. I watched her smiles and giggles and the way she said “Wow!" as she examined herself in the mirror.

The beach is calling and I must go. 

It's the first day of the new year. On a foggy but at the same time sunny day we decide to go for a walk with the family at the lake. 
We discover this tree swing and have to try it immediately.
