Graduation Memories

This was a real moment before my daughter’s wedding captured by our awesome photographer. Looking at this photo I can still feel how I felt at that moment. Even after marriage a mother’s love never ends. ❤️

What feels like the end, is often the beginning. Class of 2020 I’ll have an ending to remember. 

This picture was taken in Guangzhou, China, one week after my wife and I adopted our daughter Samantha Mae through the "Wide Horizons for Children" adoption agency. Adoption is an amazing thing...one second you're "childless" and the next you're given complete responsibility for another life...for the rest of your life. To me, this picture shows the power of unconditional love.

Capturing this time in history, one family at a time.

For my project, I did the shoots for free and in exchange, I just asked that they make a donation to the @bgca_clubs of Hawaii. I was excited to make an impact in my local community doing something that I love. Thankful that we were able to reach families and community members that I (alone) would not have been able to help."

It was important to me that everyone felt free to express themselves!

Film for me is the epitome of an uncurated and often imperfect snap of reality, and it seemed like the only way for me to honestly capture this time in history. It was a special few days before the shelter in place, mostly because social interaction felt so needed, and it was rare to have an excuse to see a friendly face. With that said, it was important to me that everyone involved felt free to express their current state as it was, I didn't want anyone to feel pressured to put on a happy face if they were feeling the weight of the world, and I didn't want people to pretend to be sad and scared if they were enjoying this time with loved ones and weren't in a darker place.”

This picture is special to me because it is a picture of my 2 babies, my daughter Harper who is 1.5 and our dog rocko who is 6. The love and bond between the 2 can melt anyone's heart. From the day we brought Harper home from the hospital he has been her protector. I took this photo at our home in our kitchen. I randomly walked in the kitchen and caught her smoochin his face. Had to snap a picture. He is not just an animal. He is our family and has been since my fiancé got him as a present 6 years ago for Christmas.

There is beauty in everything and in every moment. Teaching your loved ones how to appreciate the little things in life.

Day dreaming

This was the first day these two met, after we brought baby N home. They had an instant connection and showed us that a brothers bond is like nothing else. 

Princess meeting her Great Grandpa! Just look at how she captured such a sweet moment. I think for both of them its live at first sight!

Every sunset is magical in its own way.  But a gorgeous sunset on the amazing California coast is always a #kodakmoment

A picture that captures a cherished moment that special Bond between a little Boy and his dog, the stillness, the beauty, the surroundings the connection between all that represents the Pureness of innocence between a child, a dog and nature ❤️?

My boyfriend and I were having a wonderful time at our friends wedding. I guess there’s something about events such as weddings that truly bring out the purity in the love you have for one another. There’s no better feeling than being yourself with someone else. ❤️

We arrived at Vik around 2:00 pm, which put us right at the golden hour. The beach was quiet against the roughness of the landscape. (Camera - Pentax67, Film - Portra400)

I am amazed at how small this newborn baby was. I was trying to think of a way to show this when this happened!

I took this photo on one of the last days of 2019 along the Turnagain Arm nearby Anchorage, Alaska. It was a miserably cold day, and it was early in the morning. The weather did not look promising when out of nowhere this epic battle of light and darkness unfolded with sunshine breaking through, albeit only briefly.
