I was walking and reflecting on a beach in Bali back at the start of the Covid madness when this frame caught my eye.

It occasionally falls in my little corner of N.C. When it does, find me outside having a blast with my family. My daughters live for snowball fights & snow (ice) cream!

A few days of distancing in the Northern California coast on a cold but beautiful November.

Our puppy was a rescue and very abused prior to coming to us. This was him with my son when we first got him. He loved him right away and hank the dog was very sweet with him. 

 Je tire de ma mémoire chaque pas que j’ai fait dans la neige. Les matins éloignés, lorsque le bus scolaire était bloqué et l’école manquée. J’ai dix ans, je fais claquer la porte d’entrée, un bonnet en laine percé sur la tête et des bottes de neige trop grandes pour moi. J’arpente la seule route du village, celle qui serpente et enserre le clocher de granit. On saute par dessus le mur du cimetière, on franchi les tombes à petits pas. Je tiens fermement dans ma main la corde de ma luge verte jusqu’à notre point d’arrivée. C’est là qu’on court essoufflées, le bonnet maintenant de travers, les gants mouillés et les genoux cabossés. On monte, on redescend le minuscule monticule qui me parait plaine, montagne, alpage. Les rires et les jeux ne réveillent pas les dormeurs éternels, enveloppés de leurs manteaux blancs. Quelques mètres plus loins, nos luges se frôlent nos souffles se perdent dans l’air gris et la fumée des cheminées. Je tire de ma mémoire chaque pas que j’ai fait dans la neige. Aujourd’hui je ne sortirai pas la luge verte, je pose la question, depuis longtemps elle a été jetée, avec tout un tas de vieux jouets.

I’ve been living in Australia for almost 2 years now and I’m constantly amazed by how many new beaches I casually stumble upon in Sydney. This particular one was Turimetta Beach and it’s just one out of 100s of beaches you’ll find in Sydney. 

Honestly this is the best part of my weekends.

I’m usually up around 4-5am six days per week, so I miss out on morning snuggles.

Any day now we’ll be adding one more cuddle bug to this weekend ritual. And I can’t hardly wait ?.

First snowfall of the year started late at night on Christmas Eve, waking up on Christmas Day to a beautiful white Christmas! Couldn't pass the opportunity to go for a walk in the park and shoot some pictures with my wife dressed in the season's colours.

Shot on Ektar 100, a film that's become my favourite in 2020, both in 35 and 120 format.

Needing to work from home but had a clingy kitten that kept trying to snuggle up against me. What to do? Swaddle!

Reminded of God’s unfailing Grace as I climb mountains and see the world from views most people only dream. Don’t let 2021 be defined by a pandemic that we can’t control. Be gracious. Be kind. Be thankful, and love so hard!

This photo was one of the last frames I took on my first ever roll of Kodak film, in my first ever analog camera. Lazing around some train tracks, my partner was keeping busy while I metered some nearby plant-life. Turning around, I found them balancing on the railing and snapped this picture.

Enjoying the beginning of the festive season upon us and taking in the holiday spirit. 

I took my little girl to see the Christmas displays at our local garden centre for the first time and her face lit up as she saw all the Christmas trees, decorations, Santa and snowmen. I will remember that face forever and i have this beautiful picture to treasure and share her excitement with all of our friends and family
