I’m Max the cocker spaniel.

I was out walking with my cocker spaniel pals when I found this log. I love doing agility and especially jumping over logs. I’m getting very good at it so I thought I would show you.

After raising a monarch from the caterpillar stage this summer, my kids and I set him free back into nature and enjoyed a few quiet moments with him before he left us for his new life.

Yosemite is magical at all hours, but the golden moments preceding sunset are extra special. This was taken on descent from a late afternoon hike up to Columbia Rock in late winter 2020. Nikon FE + Kodak Ultramax 400, developed and digitized by Indie Film Lab.

The image was taken in a beautiful spot only accessible by off-road vehicle in Northern Michigan. The kids were excited to explore, so I simply had to sit back and wait for them to do something cute!

Three of my grandsons enjoying Long Beach, Washington, just like I've done every year since I was a child.  It's our favorite family getaway, and a welcome chance to be together in new ways (like riding bikes on the sand). Clara the Beautiful loves it too!

It was one of the only sunny days at the lake on our two week vacation (we had LOTS of wildfire smoke) and the grown kids were having a summersault contest on the mat w/the littles. It was an afternoon of tons of laughter, joy and reunion. We travel with 4 families every year to this special lake in northern Idaho. 

This took place at Priest Lake at Elkins Resort.

TODO TERRENO 

I was standing on the corner taking a break and all the sudden this car pulled up and this family started piling out. The two kids get out of the car as the rest of the family was shuffling in the back. The older brother puts his arm around his brother and immediately points up at the Empire State Building and they both looked up and pure amazement. Right as that happened I picked up my camera and took the last two frames on my roll, this was frame 35. So grateful to have captured this beautiful moment, made me think of my brothers. Hopefully I can find this family one day and give it to them. I love this city.

As I was chilling with my friend in Paris, she blessed the sun for his arrival. She reminded me of a character named Fleabag in the eponymous series, hence this title.

⁣Gelato tastes like summer. You know the one.... the summer of childhood....like the smell of chlorine & sunscreen. The feeling of a squishy sand and soft grass under your toes. That feeling of a warm shower and comfy clothes after a day at the beach.⠀

Having had a lot of time of going nowhere, you really get to think about where you’ve been. Italy has been on my mind, but it’s nothing grandiose. It’s the little things, like the drippy scoops of gelato while sitting on a dock and watching the most fascinating people walk by.....it’s my kids eating pizza and sipping Fanta while giggling with their friends in the comforting warm and cozy glow in Tuscany....it’s hearing the rain from a summer storm, pouring outside, while we eat dinner and have conversations with our friends in Lake Como. ⠀

What do all these memories have in common? Food and people. A couple of the best things on earth, that seem to be at the root of every good memory and story. It’s not about the place as much as it is about everything else. You don’t have to go to Italy to make lasting memories. Great memories can happen just about anywhere.⠀

That’s my hope for this summer. That in all  of its normal imperfections, that the memories that last will be about the things that matter. I’m talking shared: meals, time, stories, and laughs. We missed a lot of that last Summer, but I’m really hoping we can make up for a lot of it this year. ⠀

If I had a dollar for every time someone has told me I’m too extra. Yet that same level of “extra” is what keeps me young and draws new people to me. Til the day I die I will always be me and I will always let the child inside of me live freely. Now excuse me while I drink from my fountain.

Another beautiful day down Barry Island Pleasure Park. The fairground has a very nostalgic feel to it, and with colours so vibrant it's a great place to take some snaps.

I am a producer, and in 2018, June , I was shooting for Philips at Lukkien Studios and it was my birthday, our photographer asked me to pose next to one of our guest stars from the commercial , an amazing golden retriever , so I did!
