On the picture is my colleague from work. I am a librarian, and surrounded with books every day. It was a beautiful afternoon and I was so thrilled to be walking the grounds of the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. I managed to escape the bustle of the city and go take pictures, which always makes me feel great. These are the ribbon campaign and service records that a WWII and Korean veteran wore on his uniform. Though a decorative array of colors to the general public, other soldiers could easily identify battles attended and periods of time served at a glance.
