The holy city of Varanasi also know as "The City of Temples". There are several religious rituals that are seen throughout the day. This shot was made during the early Morning Aarti (Prayer) in Dasaswamedh Ghat in Varanasi (Banaras). The silhouette and the changing colors of the morning sky made me feel at peace. This picture was taken in Madison, WI. Its the underside of Hwy 30. I like the abundance of lines in the picture. The path to this spot was very normal rail and road stuff. Ponytail Falls is on one of the nicer trails along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon as the hike starts off at Horsetail Falls, which is also quite attractive. You then traverse a hill and through varying forest before hearing and then seeing Ponytail Falls. The cave behind the falls makes for an interesting though slippery place to explore. The top of the cave is the remnants of an ancient lava flow and the bottom softer soil which was eroded by the falls.
