Manly Beach is one of the most idyllic locations in Australia, overflowing with crowds of surfers, families and tourists in summer. Winter is a different story though. Down to the beach before sunrise for this shot, it was just me and the morning joggers. It was even too cold for the surfers. Totally worth it though, to be able to witness an amazing sunrise at one of the most amazing places in the country. This is what makes those cold, early mornings worth it. These Students participate in weekly beach cleanups because they care about their environment. This was taken at Hermosa Beach in July 2012. The shot depicts some kids (obviously, the little legs dangling) just hangin' out.. they had fun doing the cleanup and they are good friends at school as well. This photo of a very frightened, but curious stray kitten was taken on October 5th 2011 in Gilbert, Arizona. He enjoyed hiding inside my chiminea and lived on my back patio for about one week before gaining his trust in me. After 10 adrenalin pumped days of biting cold in the snow covered climes of Ladakh, I was beginning to feel the pangs of separation on my flight back. As I looked out of the window, I saw the stark change in geography between the white snow capped mountains and the brown snow bereft ones. I was leaving snow behind!
