Here is Sam, my dog's best friend and a most loved hound amongst the neighbourhood. Here I am dropping him off home as the sun light created these stripes upon him. To me this photograph illustrates the beauty and romance of traveling by a steam powered locomotive in the 21st Century, I feel it also highlights the gap between people in poverty and people living a well off life as the person in the photograph lives under the bridge the train is on along with his family and other families. The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary gives residence to permanently injured and non-releasable wildlife and is home to 83 species of Florida native birds and animals including alligators, panthers, bobcats, otters, eagles, peacocks, and of course flamingos. The half-acre Free-flight Aviary boasts over 250 birds representing 45 species. In the last 20 years birds in the Aviary have produced over 2000 offspring which have been release into the wild - www.flamingogardens.org I am a proud volunteer at this park bringing awareness of their silent and noble work through my photography.
